Et celle du Pin, qui nous int\u00e9resse car r\u00e9ellement dangereuse pour nos chiens et chats. Les processions de chenille du pin se d\u00e9placent en journ\u00e9e pour aller s&rsquo;enterrer dans le sol, o\u00f9 elles vont commencer leur nymphose pour ressortir l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 sous forme d&rsquo;un papillon de nuit. Cette chenille brune et orang\u00e9e, ne vit qu&rsquo;en groupe dans des nids de soie fabriqu\u00e9s au sommet des branches de Pin ou de C\u00e8dre. Elle n&rsquo;en descendra qu&rsquo;une fois l\u2019an, entre f\u00e9vrier et mai, quand les temp\u00e9ratures avoisinent les 10\u00b0. Les processions peuvent\u00a0\u00a0alors d\u00e9buter, la p\u00e9riode \u00e0 risque peut durer plusieurs mois. C\u2019est l\u00e0 que l\u2019on peut la voir au sol, en longue file indienne d\u2019o\u00f9 son nom de \u00ab\u00a0processionnaire\u00a0\u00bb.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"margin: 0.1pt 0cm 0.0001pt; font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #41392e; text-align: start;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">La chenille processionnaire est recouverte de poils que l\u2019on peut appeler des soies. Mais ce ne sont pas les longues soies de couleurs, mais de petits poils invisibles et extr\u00eamement l\u00e9gers et volatiles qui donnent des r\u00e9actions. Ils se d\u00e9tachent extr\u00eamement facilement quand la chenille est inqui\u00e9t\u00e9e ou stress\u00e9e et peuvent m\u00eame \u00eatre emport\u00e9s par le vent. Ce sont donc ces poils qui contiennent une substance toxique et urticante tr\u00e8s violente. Le chien va baver de mani\u00e8re anormale, les babines et la langue vont enfler et changer de couleur. C\u2019est une inflammation tr\u00e8s violente et intense.
